About this event
The Federal Hill Commerce Association stages the Columbus Weekend Festival along Atwells Avenue in historic Federal Hill, from Dean Street to Sutton Street. A cooking stage at America Street and Atwells Avenue hosts live cooking demos. Over 80 food, art, and retail vendors share the avenue with family-friendly games, amusement rides, and three live entertainment stages. More than 26 restaurants open extra seats and special dishes, a sampling that includes Trattoria Appia, Venda Ravioli, Tonys Colonial, Providence Oyster Bar, Cafe Italia, and Cassarinos. Anchors include an opening ceremony, chef demos, a parade, and a wine tasting.
Our take: Eat on the hill if you can, since more than 26 restaurants add special dishes, and ask your spot whether it has opened a valet station.
Parking
Dean Street to Sutton Street on Atwells Avenue is closed to vehicles all four days. Over 1,000 spaces along the avenue; restaurant valet stations; valet lots at 126 Spruce Street, 107 Federal Street, 57 Sutton Street, 90 DePasquale Ave, and 70 Dean Street; more on-street parking in Federal Hill.
