About this event

Clark Park Farmers Market has served West Philadelphia since 1998, and The Food Trust calls it the city's oldest year-round market. It is one of the group's largest, filling a corner of Clark Park at 43rd Street and Chester Avenue with fruit and vegetable farmers, poultry and eggs, baked and canned goods, meats, honey, cheese, fresh-cut flowers, coffee, wine and spirits. Philadelphia Parks and Recreation, Friends of Clark Park and the University of the Sciences help keep it running through winter.

Our take: Bring a blanket in fair weather and turn the shopping into a picnic in Clark Park with bread, cheese and fruit from the stalls.

Good to know

Saturdays, 10 a.m.–2 p.m., year-round. SEPTA routes 13, 30 and 34.
