About this event
The New York State Sheep & Wool Festival brings fiber enthusiasts, shepherds, artisans and newcomers to the Dutchess County Fairgrounds in Rhinebeck. Hundreds of vendors sell fiber and supplies, and the weekend packs in livestock shows, sheep breed talks and demonstrations, fleece competitions and a fleece sale, fiber arts competitions and children's activities. Nationally recognized instructors teach classes in spinning, weaving, knitting, dyeing and felting, and authors and designers sign books with Merritt Bookstore.
Good to know
Pre-sale tickets $15 plus a convenience fee, or $18 at the gate; each ticket is good for one day. Children 11 and under free. Festival workshop tuition includes a weekend ticket.
