About this event
Run by the Town of Oyster Bay, Oyster Fest Weekend is billed as one of the most anticipated events for Long Islanders and visitors from along the East Coast. The historic hamlet of Oyster Bay hosts the weekend at Theodore Roosevelt Memorial Park and Beach and on Audrey Avenue, a short walk apart, with shuttle buses and golf carts running between them. Food courts share the grounds with oyster shucking and oyster eating contests, two arts and crafts pavilions, Newton Shows amusement rides and games, the Oyster Bay Brewing Company beer garden and live entertainment. Audrey Avenue adds local vendors, restaurant food and a closer look at the community.
Our take: Use the shuttle or golf carts between Theodore Roosevelt Memorial Park and Audrey Avenue instead of trying to park at both sites.
