About this event

The Milford Pumpkin Festival, run by the all-volunteer Granite Town Festivities Committee, fills the Oval and downtown Milford with a Great Pumpkin Weigh Off, three stages of live music and street performers, artisans on the Oval and inside the historic Town Hall, and food from schools, churches and nonprofits. Other highlights include a pumpkin carving demo by master carver Jim Flis, pumpkin painting and scarecrow making, a pumpkin catapult at Railroad Pond, a rubber duck race at the Stone Bridge, star gazing in Keyes Memorial Park and a Haunted Trail in Emerson Park.

Our take: Downtown parking is minimal, so park free at Milford High School or Milford Middle School and take the free shuttle.

Parking

Free parking at Milford High School (100 West Street) and Milford Middle School (33 Osgood Road) with free shuttle buses; Friday shuttles run from the Middle School only. Handicapped parking at Town Hall, Nashua Street side. Downtown streets close to through traffic, and police ticket illegal parking.

Good to know

Haunted Trail $7 adults, $3 kids 10 and under; children under 12 must be with an adult. Beer, wine and spirits tasting requires tickets.
