About this event

The State Farmers Market in Raleigh, run by the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, showcases the state's fresh, locally grown food year-round. North Carolina farmers sell produce, plants and other specialty items from local farms in the 30,000-square-foot Farmers Building, while the climate-controlled Market Shoppes carry meats, cheeses, crafts, bakery items, ice cream, coffee, old-fashioned candies and N.C. wines. Restaurants on site include the State Farmers Market Restaurant with country cooking and the N.C. Seafood Restaurant, and Logan's Garden Shop rounds out the grounds.

Our take: Make it a breakfast stop: the State Farmers Market Restaurant serves fresh country cooking for breakfast and lunch.

Parking

Free on-site parking. Leashed pets are welcome outdoors but not inside market buildings, sheds or shops.
