Sky High Aerospace Expo

Sky High Expo in Maxton pairs a full-weekend fly-in with a dedicated automotive side, a blend the organizers describe as altitude to asphalt. Friday is STEM Day, built around hands-on learning, aviation exposure, and careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Across the weekend a curated car show, driving experiences, and other automotive activities sit beside fly-in aircraft, exhibits, and community programming. Saturday is the centerpiece, with an airshow of aerial performances, precision flying, and aviation demonstrations, then an evening fireworks display. Aviation stays the centerpiece while the automotive side stretches the weekend toward engineering and performance.

Our take: Plan Saturday around the airshow and the fireworks that follow if you want the weekend's main aerial show.
