About this event
The Town of Huntersville Parks & Recreation Department rings in December at Veterans Park in downtown Huntersville. The festivities open with the town tree lighting, featuring live music, rides, sweet treats and Santa's Workshop. The main festival follows with free children's rides, artisan ice sculptures, holiday performances by local groups, Carolers of Christmas Past, face painting, balloon twisters, roaming holiday characters and letters and pictures with Santa. More than 50 local vendors sell holiday gifts, and food trucks and local beverage vendors keep everyone fed.
Our take: Come back the following week for Santa's Village, a stroll through the North Pole inside the American Legion Post 321 building.
