About this event
The Columbia Falls Area Chamber of Commerce holds Harvestfest in Hungry Horse at Canyon Elementary School, 200 North Street. The day includes a kids corner from Imagine If Library, a large-equipment tour, a children's fun run and costume parade, and chili and cornbread lunch while supplies last. Also on the schedule are a 5k along the Southfork of the Flathead River, a chili cook-off, a cornbread competition, a pie eating contest, and a dessert auction. The 5k course includes some gravel.
Our take: Get the chili and cornbread lunch early, since it runs while supplies last, and stay for the costume parade.
Good to know
11:00 am-3:00 pm. 5k at 11:00 with awards at 12:30. Chili and cornbread judged 11:00-12:30 and must be ready by 11:00. Costume parade and fun run at 12:45. Pie eating at 1:30.
