About this event
Clydesdale Outpost in Whitefish builds its haunted hayride around a legend that something ancient was unearthed beneath the northern ridge in the winter of 1897, and the howls never stopped. Riders pass twisted timber mines and lantern light on a working ranch at 100 Outpost Drive, then spill onto a midway with Madam Moonbeam's Fortune Parlor, the Lost Trail Maze, wolf pup encounters, and a pony trot corral. Live music and an aerial and fire show run each night. Sausage Queen, Piroshki Palace, and the Blood Moon Saloon cover food and drinks.
Our take: Ride the hayride first, then stay on the midway for the nightly fire show.
Parking
Working ranch; check in at the Welcome Center. Outside alcohol is not permitted.
Good to know
Hayride and midway run 5:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Pony trot corral is 6 to 8 p.m.
