About this event
The Mid-South Fair is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit community service organization headquartered at Landers Center in Southaven, Mississippi. Since the first fair in 1856, it has aimed to educate people in the Mid-South and to showcase talent through scholarships, art contests, a competitive youth talent competition, and the Miss Mid-South Fair Pageant. Fairgoers get more than 50 rides and a wide array of ground acts around the property. Food vendors serve funnel cakes, candied apples, turkey legs, corn dogs, and beverages for the family. Open Mic Night on the Main Stage is open to anyone who signs up.
Our take: Put a funnel cake, candied apple, or turkey leg on the food plan, since those are the named fair favorites.
