About this event

Kiwanis Holiday Lights is a volunteer-built display in Sibley Park, Mankato, first opened in 2012. Walkers come in under the train trestle off Mound Avenue, drivers follow Sibley Parkway around the sledding hill, and pre-approved buses use 708 Mound Ave. Live reindeer wait in the farm area by the driving entrance, and concessions inside the park include cocoa, cider, and warm mini donuts. Tune a car radio to 90.1 FM so the lighted tunnel music lines up with the display.

Our take: Come on a weeknight and walk in from the south under the trestle if you want to skip the weekend line.

Parking

Walkers: CHS lots off Woodland Ave, ball fields off Sibley Pkwy, limited spaces inside Sibley Park, and on-street near entrances; follow blue signage. Drivers enter on Sibley Parkway. Pre-approved buses use 708 Mound Ave. Dogs are not allowed in the park but may ride in the car. Park only in designated lots.

Good to know

Sunday-Thursday 5:00-9:00 pm; Friday and Saturday 5:00-10:00 pm. Cars in line at closing may finish the route. Strobe lights may trigger seizures.
