About this event
Dust off a dirndl or lederhosen and get ready to Prost: the City of Gaithersburg sets Oktoberfest in and around the Arts Barn, Kentlands Mansion, Kentlands Village Green, and along Main Street and Inspiration Lane. An oompah band and Bavarian dancers hold the Oktoberfest Green, while other acts play other stages. Plates run from Little Austria and Swiss Bakery to Maryland Brat and Butcher, Old Smokey BBQ, and Sherri's Crab Cakes. Kids get crafts, inflatables, a quiet sensory zone in Kentlands Mansion, and pumpkin painting.
Our take: Start at the Oktoberfest Green for the Bavarian dancers, then eat your way toward Main Street and Inspiration Lane.
Parking
Wheelchair-accessible shuttle from 101 Orchard Ridge Drive, off Quince Orchard Road. City streets close starting at 6 a.m., including Main Street, Kentlands Boulevard, and Inspiration Lane. Alcohol service is 21+ with valid ID.
