About this event
Morgan City's Halloween Barrel Bash is a full day of horses, barrel racing, and Halloween festivities at the Morgan City Horse Arena on Youngs Road, and it is open to the public. The morning opens with BBR-approved exhibitions, then Little Buckaroos Leadline, the 5D Open Barrels, and a 3D Pole Bending contest. Kids can take pony rides and horse rides through the day. The evening switches to Trunk-or-Treat with decorated vehicles, costumes, and candy. Costumes are encouraged for competitors, families, and spectators.
Our take: Stay from the noon open barrels through the 6 PM Trunk-or-Treat if you want both the racing and the candy, and bring the kids in costume.
Parking
Parking is designated and directed by event staff. No parking in front of the stalls.
Good to know
9:00 am-8:00 pm. Exhibitions 9:00-11:00 AM, leadline 11:30 AM, open barrels at noon, Trunk-or-Treat at 6:00 PM.
