About this event
The Bayou Terrebonne Boucherie celebrates Cajun tradition the old-school way with a massive backyard-style cookout, honoring the boucherie, a South Louisiana gathering where friends and family prepare, cook and eat every part of the pig. Expect live music, popping cracklin' and smoky pits, plus a white bean cook-off, duck calling and chicken catching contests and a pirogue race. Admission is free, food and drinks are pay as you go, and there are no craft vendors, so bring a lawn chair or blanket.
