About this event
The City of Lake Charles throws its biggest holiday party on the shore of Lake Charles, with a lighting display, food trucks and Santa's Workshop at the Lake Charles Event Center. Recent celebrations have brought the Arts & Humanities Council of SWLA's Holiday Art Walk of handcrafted gifts and artwork to the Event Center grounds, along with festive drinks and an afternoon of live music at the Arcade Amphitheater, building to the moment the mayor flips the switch on the lights at the Event Center and Millennium Park. A Lighted Boat Parade has followed on the water, and the night has closed with fireworks set to music.
Our take: Bring a blanket and stay past dark, since the lighting, boat parade and fireworks have come at the end of the night in recent years.
Good to know
