About this event
The International Rice Festival in Crowley honors the rice industry and its farmers, celebrating rice as the cornerstone of the area's family farms, local businesses and economy. Two sound stages carry live entertainment through the weekend, and past performers include Percy Sledge, Joe Diffie and Shenandoah. Festivalgoers can also take in the Classic Car Show, the Crowley High 5K Run Walk and the Fiddle and Accordion Contest.
Our take: Plan around the parades: the Children's Parade rolls Friday afternoon and the Grand Parade takes the streets Saturday afternoon.
