About this event

The Red Stick Farmers Market is BREADA's flagship market, held year-round on Saturday mornings at Main Street Market in the heart of downtown Baton Rouge, with a second year-round location on Thursdays at Pennington Biomedical Research Center on Perkins Road. Shoppers find a close-knit community of local farmers and small businesses, and once a month the Arts Market run by the Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge joins in. The markets run rain or shine.

Our take: After shopping the farmers' stalls, head inside Main Street Market for lunch and more local shopping.

Parking

All vendors accept cash; for credit, debit or EBT/SNAP, the Market Information booth issues wooden tokens that all vendors accept, and SNAP purchases are matched up to $40. No pets.
