About this event
Light Up the Season is Piedmont Park Conservancy's holiday celebration in Atlanta's "Green Heart," with workshops, creative programs and community gatherings through the holiday season. It opens with the Lantern Parade & Lighting Celebration: a lantern-making party at Greystone, then a parade led by the Seed & Feed band around Lake Clara Meer and into the Meadow, where the park's Great Tree, Menorah and Kinara are lit. The evening continues at Park Tavern with a family holiday movie and hot cocoa.
Our take: Arrive in time for the lantern-making party at Greystone so you have your own lantern to carry in the parade.
