About this event
Helen, a re-creation of an alpine village in the Blue Ridge Mountains on the Chattahoochee River, bills its Oktoberfest as the longest-running in the United States. The celebration centers on the Festhalle and its biergarten, with German beer, food and music over several weeks of fall, plus extras such as a stein-holding competition and a Halloween costume party.
Our take: Go on a weekday night if you can; Friday and Saturday admission costs more.
Good to know
Friday and Saturday $15 per person; under 6 free. ID checked for all adults. No smoking and no pets (service animals welcome). Advance tickets only for groups of 25 or more.
