About this event

Two weekends of the Georgia Mountain Fall Festival land at the historic Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds in Hiawassee, which calls itself the Country Music Capital of Georgia. First-class music sits next to arts and crafts, carnival rides on the first weekend, and a look at North Georgia history and culture. Pioneer Village, the arts and crafts area, and the exhibit hall open alongside the concerts. Evening concerts and a Sunday gospel show fill the music hall. A worship service falls on the first Sunday, and the second Thursday is Military and 1st Responder Appreciation Day. The grounds sit at 1311 Music Hall Road.

Our take: Pick the first weekend if carnival rides matter, and either weekend for the evening concerts and Pioneer Village.

Good to know

Pioneer Village, arts and crafts, and exhibit hall open at 10 am on listed days. Carnival rides the first weekend only. Evening concerts at 7 pm; gospel show at 2 pm Sunday; worship service at 11 am Sunday.
