About this event
Ramsey's Farm in Wilmington opens its fall patch for pumpkin picking, hayrides and bonfire nights on Ramsey Road. The field covers 10 to 12 acres and yields about 50,000 pumpkins in many shapes, sizes and colors, with small specialty pumpkins in the tent beside the patch. A hayride looks over the Brandywine Valley, and night events stretch that ride after dark. The custom corn maze spans more than 10 acres, with a flashlight version on bonfire nights and a Spookley Trail for younger visitors. The barnyard has chickens, cows, goats, sheep and more to feed, plus a combine slide, a seat in a life-size corn harvester and a cow train. S'mores kits are sold at the bonfire.
Our take: For the flashlight maze and the longer hayride, pick a bonfire night and be through the gate before the entry cutoff.

Good to know
Bonfire nights Fridays and Saturdays, October 2–November 14, 6:00pm–9:00pm, must enter by 7:30pm; also open Sunday, October 11. A select number of tickets sold at the door.
