About this event
The Essex Holiday House Tour, the Essex Historical Society's only large-scale fundraiser, opens historic private homes within walking distance of Essex Village for guided tours of their main levels, many of them decorated for the holidays. The homes, which include the society's own Pratt House, show off their owners' styles, unique features and historic elements. A ticket also covers a walk through Essex's historic churches, the curated Christmas boutique at Essex Town Hall, costumed carolers throughout downtown and discounted admission to the Connecticut River Museum.
Parking
Park once and walk: spaces along Main, Pratt and Ferry streets, at Town Hall, behind Pratt House and the post office, and at the Connecticut River Museum. Day-of tickets $70 at Essex Town Hall, 9 a.m.–2 p.m.; every ticket must be traded for the passport booklet that gets you into the homes.
