Telluride Horror Show

Telluride Horror Show bills itself as Colorado's first and longest-running horror film festival, bringing genre films from around the globe to the mountain town of Telluride. Over three days, the lineup mixes horror, suspense, thriller, dark fantasy, sci-fi and dark comedy, with feature films and shorts from new and established talent plus special programs, guests and events. Screenings run in venues within walking distance of each other, including the Palm Theatre at Telluride High School, the historic Sheridan Opera House on Main Street, the black box theater dubbed "The Blob" and the Telluride Elks Lodge in the historic Swede-Finn Hall.

Our take: Between screenings, check the "Horror Vault" in the Wilkinson Public Library program room, which hosts free screenings.
