About this event
Colorado Pumpkin Patch at Colorado Kids Ranch sits at 2205 E Highway 105 in Monument, run by former teachers who build the day around kids. Friday-through-Sunday extras include face painting, pony rides, animal experiences, and a cook shack with hot dogs, barbecue, corn dogs, fries, and fried desserts. Homemade pumpkin butter and jellies are on sale, tractor rides use wildlife decoys on a North American Safari route, and sheep wool is out so children can feel the lanolin. The Johnny Pumpkinseed program gives pumpkins to special-education, disadvantaged, and foster children.
Our take: Save pony rides and face painting for Friday through Sunday, and carpool so traffic at the Highway 105 patch stays lighter.
