About this event
Día de los Muertos at Civic Center, presented by Denver Botanic Gardens, gathers the community in Denver's Civic Center Park to honor ancestors and loved ones who have passed, in reverence and celebration. Civic Center Conservancy supports the vision of local curator Alicia "Bruce" Trujillo, founder of Manos Sagrados, who serves as artistic and cultural director, with Colorful Colorado Collaborations and Kalpulli Calli Tecpatl collaborating. The free celebration brings community altars, art installations, music and dance, a tianguis marketplace, Mexican and Latin American food trucks and family-friendly activities.
Our take: Stay into the evening for the sunset procession around the community ofrenda at the center of the celebration.
