About this event

This day combines San Bernardino's Veterans Salute & Parade with the finale of the city's celebration of Route 66, which was commissioned in 1926. When the Mother Road was fully paved in 1938, Mt. Vernon Avenue and 5th Street became San Bernardino's stretch of the Main Street of America, and landmarks like the Wigwam Motel and the Historic Original McDonald's Museum still carry that story. Expect a patriotic parade, classic cars on display, vendors and community festivities honoring both veterans and the road's 100-year legacy.

Our take: Make it a Route 66 day by adding a stop at the Wigwam Motel or the Historic Original McDonald's Museum before or after the parade.
