About this event
The Long Beach Marathon weekend draws more than 28,000 runners to closed, spectator-lined roads with cheer zones throughout the course. The marathon passes landmarks such as the historic Queen Mary and Shoreline Village with ocean views, the half marathon runs along the Pacific, and the 5K runs through the Aquarium of the Pacific. A finish festival and beer garden wait at the end, and a Legacy program honors long-time participants.
Our take: If you're parking at the Aquarium of the Pacific lot, allow plenty of time; it closes to vehicle traffic at 6 a.m.
Parking
Aquarium of the Pacific lot (100 Aquarium Way) closes to vehicles at 6 a.m. Rates are set by lot operators, and the race doesn't validate parking.
