About this event
The Belmont Shore Christmas Parade is one of the biggest parades of the year in Long Beach, a night-time hometown favorite along 2nd Street. Families line the route for Santa Claus, plenty of elves, and colorful bands, costumes and floats, with more than a dozen local marching bands and around 100 entries from Long Beach businesses, associations, local personalities and dignitaries. Floats are judged on execution of theme, originality of design and spectator appeal, and the neighborhood dresses for the season with festive light pole banners.
Our take: Use the rideshare drop-offs at either end of 2nd Street and stake out a curb seat early.
Parking
Free parking at the beach lots along Ocean Blvd and at Marine Stadium.
