9th Annual Cruizin' Shine Car Show

Cruizin' Shine is the largest street car show in Bakersfield, put on by Cruizin-4-Charity, a nonprofit run by volunteers that gives all vehicle registration and vendor fees to local charities. It spreads across three days: a welcome dinner with live music at the Elks Lodge where entrants preview the custom builds, a Cruizin Night when hot rods parade a closed course downtown, and a show day with award judging and a closing awards and charity ceremony. Spectators get in free all weekend.

Our take: Bring a lawn chair to the Cruizin Night parade of hot rods, then come back for show day morning while the judges are still walking the rows.
