About this event
The Bakersfield Turkey Day Run is a Thanksgiving morning race at The Park at River Walk, with a timed 5K and an untimed 1-mile run or walk, so runners and families walking together both fit. Before the start there is a costume contest, a gobble contest and a spirit award for the largest registered group. Donations raised go to the CAPK Food Bank, which provides food for children, families and seniors across Kern County.
Our take: Sign up as a family or office group and wear something festive, since the costume and gobble contests happen before the race starts.
Parking
Free parking at The Park at River Walk.
