About this event
Wander the 65-acre garden estate of Walter and Bessie Bellingrath in Theodore, where Magic Christmas in Lights fills the grounds with thousands of twinkling displays the staff handcrafts. The Bellingrath Home adds elegant decor and vibrant poinsettias, and live choral performances carry through the gardens. Warm drinks and holiday treats show up on Live Oak Plaza, while the Magnolia Cafe serves hot evening meals and s'mores, with beer, wine, and Irish coffee along the walking route. Guided tours of the Bellingrath Home leave every 30 minutes.
Our take: Walk the lit gardens first, then warm up with s'mores at the Magnolia Cafe or an Irish coffee at the midpoint of the route.
Parking
Allow extra time to park and enter.
Good to know
Evening experience 5:00–9:00 PM; last home-tour ticket at 7:30 PM; gardens close at 10:00 PM. Closed Nov. 25, Nov. 26, Dec. 25 and Jan. 1. Wheelchairs and wagons rent first come, first served.
