About this event
Oktoberfest at Pipestem Resort State Park is a fall weekend built around autumn color and a Bavarian-styled day on the mountain. The Marketplatz gathers local and regional artisans selling handcrafted wares and locally sourced foods and beverages. On Saturday, riders take the aerial tramway to Mountain Creek Lodge for locally crafted draft beers, giant pretzels, German fare, and live entertainment through the day. Other pieces include menus at the Bluestone, Black Bear, and Mountain Creek Appalachian Cuisine, games and contests, entertainment at McKeever Lodge, gift shops, golf, guided hikes, and a car show of antique and collectable automobiles.
Our take: Make Saturday the tramway day if you want the Mountain Creek Lodge festival, giant pretzels, and draft beer.
