About this event
What began as a small market for artisans has grown into the City of Fairfax Fall Festival in the historic downtown, with more than 400 art and craft vendors, informational booths, food vendors, children's activities, several entertainment stages, and beer gardens. It still aims for a hometown festival feeling. The event is rain or shine and has no reschedule date. ADA-accessible shuttles run from the GMU Rappahannock Parking Deck at 4400 University Drive and from Fairfax High School at 3501 Lion Run. A bike, scooter, and stroller valet sits at the lot at North Street and Blenheim Boulevard. Three water stations are mapped, and an ATM is at University Drive and Sager Avenue.
Our take: Park at the GMU deck or Fairfax High School and ride the shuttle, then refill a bottle at one of the three water stations instead of carrying a large bag.
Parking
Shuttles from GMU Rappahannock Parking Deck and Fairfax High School, 9:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m., ADA accessible. Bike, scooter, and stroller valet at North St and Blenheim Blvd, 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Pets discouraged except service animals.
Good to know
Rain or shine, no reschedule date. Lost and found at Parks and Recreation tent, spaces 069/070. First aid at Fire Station 3 on University Drive.
