About this event
The Army Ten-Miler, staged at the Pentagon, exists to support Army outreach, build morale and promote physical fitness, with all race proceeds going to Soldier MWR programs. It draws over 35,000 runners and 900 teams from around the world, including military members, civilians, wheelchair athletes and wounded warrior athletes, supported by over 900 Soldiers and 900 volunteers. Race weekend also includes an expo with a shuttle and a General Dynamics pasta dinner at the Crystal Gateway Marriott.
Our take: There's no race parking at the Pentagon, so use the paid Fashion Centre at Pentagon City garage, which opens at 5 a.m., or the Crystal City garage at 1750 Crystal Drive and walk to the Pentagon South Lot.
Parking
No race parking at the Pentagon. Garages: Fashion Centre at Pentagon City (paid; opens 5 a.m.; entrances at 850 Army Navy Dr. and 955 15th St. S.) and Crystal City (1750 Crystal Dr.; opens 6 a.m.; half a mile's walk). Rideshare drop-off at 12th and S. Hayes streets; Metro to Pentagon station.
Good to know
All lanes of Route 110 close 5:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m. No backpacks or gym bags.
