San Antonio Greek FUNstival

The San Antonio Greek FUNstival at St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Church, 2504 N St. Mary's Street, San Antonio, TX 78212, is a weekend of Greek culture with authentic cuisine, lively music, traditional dancing, and plenty of OPA. Food runs from gyros to loukoumades, paired with Greek wines and spirits. Live bouzouki and folk dances are meant to pull people onto their feet, and a Greek Agora bazaar sells jewelry, art, icons, and gifts. Church tours and a dance schedule round out the weekend for visitors who want more than the plate.

Our take: Saturday runs to 11 p.m., the longest stretch for gyros, loukoumades, and the dance floor.
