About this event
The San Antonio Food Bank's Turkey Trot 5K Run & Walk starts at the Commander's House at H-E-B Arsenal in downtown San Antonio, with Riverwalk views, historic La Villita and the Tower of the Americas along the route. Every registration provides a turkey for a family facing hunger, and organizers expect around 10,000 runners. H-E-B supplies race-day refreshments and snacks, Dutch Bros pours coffee before the start, and there are two water stations on the course.
Our take: Get there early, as roads around the Commander's House close at 7 and the starting line closes at 8:45.
Parking
Free race-day parking at partner garages, including the H-E-B garage (407 Dwyer Ave) and the Bexar County garage (211 S Flores St). Roads around the Commander’s House close at 7 AM.
