About this event
The Bay City Lions Club Rice Festival is the club's major fundraiser and a community celebration that draws visitors from surrounding towns. Fairgrounds nights bring a carnival, vendors and a farmers market, mutton busting in the indoor arena, bingo under the tent and an antique tractor show and tractor pull. A car show, a robotics show and strolling magic from David G. Wonders, the Texas Magic Ambassador, round out the weekend, and the Grand Parade runs through downtown Bay City.
Our take: Come Saturday for the Grand Parade downtown, then head to the fairgrounds for the car show, robotics show, tractor pull and strolling magic.
Good to know
Thu 4–11 p.m.; Fri 4 p.m.–midnight; Sat noon–midnight, after the 10 a.m. parade downtown; Sun noon–5 p.m. Carnival opens at 5 p.m. Thu–Fri.
