About this event
The Center City Electric Light Parade is downtown Amarillo's long-running nighttime holiday parade, put on by Center City of Amarillo to kick off December. Lighted floats roll along Polk Street from 11th Ave down to 4th Avenue, turning the heart of downtown into a glowing procession. The 2026 theme is "Christmas on Rt. 66," marking the highway's 100th year.
Our take: Make a night of it: the Civic Amarillo Holiday Market is open at the Santa Fe Depot pavilion the same evening, so shop there before the floats roll at 6.
