About this event
The Food & Wine Classic in Charleston is a three-day event featuring celebrated chefs, premium wines and spirits and the best of local food and culture, served with the warm hospitality of the Lowcountry. Grand Tastings at the Charleston Visitor Center, 375 Meeting St., run four times over the weekend with more than 100 winemakers, distillers, chefs and exhibitors, and the talent includes Tyler Florence, Nancy Silverton, Maneet Chauhan and Mike Lata. Signature experiences include a Travel + Leisure Lowcountry oyster roast, a guided crabbing outing followed by a chef-led lunch, and a Southern Living college football tailgate with Southern BBQ.
Our take: Plan on an adults-only weekend, since no one under 21 is admitted to any event, including infants in carriers.
