About this event
Vinita's Oktoberfest is a family-friendly fall festival on the campus of Holy Ghost Catholic Church that draws thousands from the four-state region, with proceeds distributed to local charitable organizations. Food ranges from authentic German to Asian, Mexican and American fare, plus a church bake sale booth. Dozens of arts and crafts vendors, a kids' tent with games and crafts, pony and bucking bull rides, a petting zoo, a silent auction, raffle drawings and tours of the church's stained glass windows fill the day, with entertainment from White Oak Rebellion, local talent and the German-American Society dancers.
Our take: Walk over to Vinita's North Park, right next door, for the Route 66 Cruisin' Classics Car Show, which wraps up at 1 p.m.
