About this event
Harvest Festival at Hale Farm & Village, run by the Western Reserve Historical Society, shows guests the seasonal work of a 19th-century farm while community partners demonstrate traditions like cider pressing and fermentation. Historic cooking demonstrations feature seasonal favorites like apple butter, and families can try corn shucking, apple butter making, fall and winter games and storytelling. There's a pumpkin patch with free pumpkin painting when you buy a pumpkin, plus local food vendors and live music.
Our take: Time your visit around Johnny Appleseed, who tells his story at noon and again at 2:30 p.m.
