About this event
Canal Winchester and VFW Post 10523 mark Veterans Day with a morning that opens with a pancake breakfast for veterans and their families at the Community Center, served by members of the Canal Winchester Senior Citizens club. Veterans then march through the flag-lined historic downtown along Waterloo and High streets, joined by military vehicles from Motts Military Museum in Groveport, to the green at Stradley Park. There a traditional ceremony follows, with a 21-gun salute, Taps and patriotic songs from the CWHS Select Vocal Ensemble.
Our take: Watch the march pass on High Street, then follow it to Stradley Park, since the ceremony starts as soon as the veterans arrive.
