About this event
The Apple Butter Festival & Ox Roast fills the grounds of Century Village Museum, the Burton home of the Geauga County Historical Society, with the smell of apples simmering over a wood fire. Apple butter bubbles in copper kettles, and visitors can take a turn at the stirring paddle. The weekend also brings a Wine & Beer Garden tent, the Cow & Pig Raffle drawing, an apple-peeling competition, pumpkin carving and corn hole, plus a balloon artist, bouncy houses and barrel train rides for kids and vendors selling handmade goods.
Our take: Head to the Ox Roast for a hot roast sandwich, fresh cider and an apple fritter.
