About this event
Historic Roscoe Village, a canal town in Coshocton, has hosted the Apple Butter Stirrin' Festival for more than five decades (the 2026 festival was the 55th), and the smell of apple butter simmering over open fires is its calling card. Visitors are invited to take a turn at the paddle: twice around the side, once down the middle. Between stirs you can ride a canal boat, explore the living history buildings, meet Johnny Appleseed, or watch blacksmiths and chainsaw carvers at work. Pair fresh apple butter with local food, Wooly Pig craft beer or a Roscoe Mule.
Our take: At busy times, park at Calvary Baptist Church and ride the complimentary shuttle rather than hunting for a space near the village.
Parking
Free lots at the Roscoe Village Visitor Center (600 N. Whitewoman St.), the COTC lot (200 N. Whitewoman St.) and the Super 8 lot; free shuttle from Calvary Baptist Church (46621 US-36) on Saturday and Sunday afternoons.
Good to know
Friday and Saturday 10am–6pm, Sunday 10am–5pm. Candlelit Roscoe in the Shadows tours Friday and Saturday evenings, limited availability.
