About this event

The Farmers and Crafts Market of Las Cruces fills seven blocks of downtown Main Street with hundreds of vendors, and a smaller Wednesday market sets up at Plaza de Las Cruces. Goods are handmade and local, from jewelry, metalwork, glass, ceramics, and fiber art produced in New Mexico to fresh produce, organic options, farm eggs, grass-fed beef, and cheeses. Prepared stalls serve traditional New Mexican food, street-style tacos, green chile cheeseburgers, agua frescas, kettle corn, and baked goods, and there is live music. WIC, SNAP, and Double Up Food Bucks are accepted, and Farmland.org has named it among the top farmers markets in the country. Wednesday is the laid-back version if you want to watch artists work.

Our take: Choose Wednesday at Plaza de Las Cruces if you want the smaller market and a chance to watch artists work.
