About this event
The Lenoir County Fair in Kinston, North Carolina, at 401 Fairgrounds Road, packs five days with live music, shows, and a cheerleading competition. Contest fans get tractor driving, a demolition derby, cake and cookie baking, a diaper derby, a casserole cook-off, and a goose competition, plus educational booths. Vendors use the commercial exhibit hall and midway to reach more than 14,000 fairgoers over the week.
Our take: Plan around the demolition derby and the cheerleading competition if those are the draws, and leave time for the bake contests if food is the point.
