About this event
CelticFest Mississippi sets up at 1112 North Shore Parkway in Brandon with Scottish Highland heavy athletics and a stone lifting competition, plus pro and amateur classes run with Backyard Rebellion Highland Games. Scotch and whiskey tastings, a mead tasting with Queen's Reward Meadery, a Sunday afternoon tea, Irish music sessions, and dance classes fill the cultural side, along with visiting Scottish clans. A Friday night kickoff opens the weekend.
Our take: If athletics are the draw, head for the heavy events and the stone-lifting competition before the tastings.
