Greater Springfield Farmers' Market calls itself the Springfield area's only true farmers' market, at 2825 S Glenstone Ave, Ste 101. The person selling produce is the person who planted, grew, harvested, or made the food, and vendors are not allowed to buy food for resale. Because the trip from farm to table is always less than 100 miles, shoppers get naturally ripened produce with a longer shelf life. Summer shopping runs on Saturdays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, with a separate winter Saturday schedule.
