Big Springs Farm Fall Festival & Corn Maze

Big Springs Farm sends guests through 10-foot corn on a maze of about 10 acres with 5 miles of trails. Twelve checkpoints and a lookout tower sit inside, plus a hidden checkpoint that is not printed on the maze cards. One game is a farm-scene mystery: Farmer Joe is missing, and seven animal suspects have to be cleared. A 1.5-acre patch holds nearly 150 varieties of pumpkins, squash, and gourds. A sunflower hillside and a cut-your-own patch of zinnias, marigolds, amaranth, and celosia sit nearby. The stand serves a steak sandwich, a mac-and-cheese dog, and a shareable Queen's Apple.

Our take: Grab a paper maze card even if you plan to follow the QR code, because the farm warns that GPS is spotty.
